Defect Leakage:

  • If the client reports any bug that is called Defect Leakage.
  • These are the defects which are not identified during the software testing process but found by the clients and given as feed back.
  • It is calculated as. (Number of defects slipped)/(Number of defects received-Number of defects withdrawn)*100.

Latency bug:

  • An exposed or unidentified bug which exists in the system over a period of time is known as the Latent Bug. The bug may persist in the system in one or more versions of the software.
  • The bug which is not identified in present version and can be able to identified in Later versions.
