Advantages of Latex:

It is easy for anyone to edit your file because it’s just a text.
Produces aesthetically beautiful documents.
Easy to use math, symbols, etc.
Once we learned it is much faster and more intuitive.
It is platform independent.
Complex structure such as footnotes, references, table of contents, and bibliographies can be easily generated.

Disadvantages:

Fairly steep learning curve.
Latex will have difficulty reviewing your manuscripts.
Layout changes are difficult.
Many features require libraries.
Customizing is a tedious process.

Ordered lists:

In the ordered list you just simply replace itemize with enumerated environment.
The Ordered list environment is totally different for other lists.

Syntax:

\item The labels consists of sequential numbers.
\item The numbers starts at 1 with each call to the enumerate environment.
\end{enumerate}

The ordered lists are generated by a enumerate environment and each entry must be preceded by the control sequence item.
It will automatically generate the number labelling the item.

Nested Lists:

In LATEX you can insert a list inside another list like nested form. The above list are combined to another one, either mixed or a one type, to a depth of four levels.
