It is used for semi structured data.<\/td>\nHive is query engine<\/td>\nHBase is a data storage particularly for unstructured data.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Pig Hadoop Component is generally
\nused by Researchers and Programmers.<\/td>\n		Apache Hive is mainly used for
\nbatch processing i.e. OLAP
\nand creating reports.<\/td>\n		HBase is extensively used for transactional processing where in the response time of the query is not highly interactive i.e. OLTP<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Pig Hadoop Component operates on
\nthe client side of any cluster.<\/td>\n		Hive Hadoop Component operates on
\nthe server side of any cluster.<\/td>\n		Operations in HBase are run in real-time on the database<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Avro supported for Pig.<\/td>\nHive does not support Avro.<\/td>\nThe client which is reading\/writing the data has to deal with the avro schemas, after HBase delivered the raw data to it.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Pig Hadoop is a great ETL tool
\nfor big data because of its powerful
\ntransformation and processing
\ncapabilities.<\/td>\n		Hive Hadoop Component is helpful
\nfor ETL.<\/td>\n		Hbase Component is helpful for ETL.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Pig are high-level languages that
\ncompile to MapReduce.<\/td>\n		Hive is also a high-level languages
\nthat compile to MapReduce.<\/td>\n		HBase allows Hadoop to support the transactions on key value pairs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Pig is also SQL-like but varies to
\na great extent and thus it will
\ntake some time efforts to master Pig.<\/td>\n		Hive directly leverages SQL expertise
\nand thus can be learnt easily.<\/td>\n		HBase allows you to do quick random versus scan all of data sequentially, do insert\/update\/delete from middle, and not just add\/append.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
