It can have only single values.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"second-normal-form2nf\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Second Normal Form(2NF)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>A table is said to be second normal form on two conditions<\/li>\n<li>Table should be in First Normal Form(1NF).<\/li>\n<li>Any non-prime attribute is not dependent on the proper subset of the candidate key of the table.<\/li>\n<li>Non prime attribute is an attribute which is not a part of any candidate key.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"third-normal-form3nf\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Third Normal Form(3NF)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>A design of the table is said to be third normal form(3NF) only if<\/li>\n<li>A Table is in second normal form(2NF)<\/li>\n<li>Transitive functional dependency of non-prime attribute on any super key should be removed.<\/li>\n<li>Non prime attribute is an attribute which is not a part of any candidate key.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"boycee-codd-normal-formbcnf\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Boycee &amp; Codd Normal Form(BCNF)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>An advanced version of third normal form is known as Boycee &amp; Codd Normal Forms(BCNF).<\/li>\n<li>BCNF is stricter than third normal form.<\/li>\n<li>A table is said to be in BCNF if it is already in 3NF and every functional dependency should be the super key of the table.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are 4 types of form in Normalization : First Normal Form(1NF)\u00a0 If a relation does not contain any multi valued attributes, then the relation is said to be in First Normal Form.
