Apache Hive is mainly used for
\nbatch processing i.e. OLAP<\/td>\n		HBase is extensively used for transactional
\nprocessing wherein the response time of the query
\nis not highly interactive i.e. OLTP.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Operations in Hive are
\nused to transformed into mapreduce jobs.<\/td>\n		Operations in HBase are run
\nin real-time on the database<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
For big data applications that require complex
\nand fine grained processing, Hadoop MapReduce
\nis the best choice.<\/td>\n		HBase should be used when Data model
\nschema is sparse.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
It used for data warehousing requirements
\nthe programmers do not
\nwrite complex mapreduce code.<\/td>\n		HBase is an ideal big data solution if the
\napplication requires random read or random
\nwrite operations or both.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Hive does not currently
\nsupport update statements.<\/td>\n		HBase queries are written in a custom language
\nthat needs to be learned.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Hive<\/b>\u00a0does not provide interactive
\nquerying it only runs batch processes on Hadoop.<\/td>\n		Apache\u00a0HBase<\/b>\u00a0is a NoSQL key\/value store which

Hive has some limitations
