There are various approaches in which Wget may be used. for example, Use Wget to download each image on a website, or download a single file, as well. Wget is even capable of resuming downloads, when possible.<\/p>\n[ad type=&#8221;banner&#8221;]\n<h4 id=\"installing-wget\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Installing Wget<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 id=\"1-installing-wget-on-macos-sierra\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>1.Installing Wget on macOS Sierra<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Previously we get started with using Wget, we will need to install it on our system. Now, most Linux distributions come with Wget pre-installed, so you will not have to do any additional effort. If you\u2019re on a Mac, you will have to install Wget. This can be done easily using Homebrew (<a href=\"http:\/\/brew.sh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Here are the steps you\u2019ll need to follow:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, you will have to install Homebrew on your Mac, in order to be able to download Wget. Instead, you\u2019ll have to\u00a0<strong>launch the Cygwin Terminal, and use Wget from there<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"how-to-use-wget\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>How to Use Wget<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Now we\u2019ve got Wget up and running on our system then we can use Wget to download files, folders, and even entire websites from the internet.\u00a0Here are a couple of interesting things you can do with Wget on your system.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Note<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>If you are using Wget on a MacBook Air running macOS Sierra 10.12.3 beta. However, since the utility we\u2019re using is the same (Wget), the commands will be the same on\u00a0any operating system\u00a0you may be using Wget on.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"1-use-wget-to-download-files\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>1. Use Wget to Download Files<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>You can use Wget to download files from the internet with ease. If you used Wget in the traditional method, you\u2019ll have to run it three times. But, there is a much easier way to do this.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, create a file with all the URLs\u00a0you need to download data from. Ensure that you\u00a0<strong>keep each URL in its own line<\/strong>. Download an Entire Website with Wget<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>If You can use Wget to download the contents of an entire website. Clearly, if the website is too large, this command will take a lot of time to\u00a0finish. Use Wget as a Web Spider<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Additionally, you can make Wget act like a web crawler or a web spider. This is helpful when you want to\u00a0<strong>confirm that the URL for\u00a0the file you want to download is valid<\/strong>. Limit the Download Speed<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>In case you\u2019re using Wget to download files, and browsing the internet\u00a0together with it, now you\u2019d possibly not need all of your bandwidth to be used up by Wget.
