However, KDE can be\u00a0installed very easily, and it works well. Also,\u00a0for long time\u00a0Windows users, who have just made the switch to Linux, KDE will look very familiar.\u00a0And, since you can easily choose the desktop environment you want to use, while logging in, installing other desktop environments is completely safe.
