Now Apple starts rolling out Public Betas of iOS 10 and with each new iteration,\u00a0there are few changes. While most of these changes are bug fixes from past betas, or setup changes in view of user feedback, some of the changes are great new features.<\/p>\n

1.Emergency Bypass in Contacts<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

We all know that feeling when we pull our phone after a long time of it being on \u201cDo not Disturb\u201d, just to find about a million missed calls from our parents, usually followed by a mini heart attack. Somebody at Apple\u2019s software department clearly didn\u2019t want to give their children use the \u201cmy phone was set to do not disturb\u201d excuse, whenever they failed to answer\u00a0a call, and the result in iOS 10, is an alternative to enable Emergency Bypass on a per-contact basis.<\/p>\n

If you have enabled Emergency Bypass for a particular contact, your iPhone\u00a0will ring for calls from that number, even if your iPhone was set to Do Not Disturb.<\/p>\n

To enable Emergency Bypass for a particular contact, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Go to the\u00a0Contacts <\/strong>app, and\u00a0select the contact<\/strong>\u00a0that you want to enable Emergency Bypass for.<\/li>\n
  • Tap on\u00a0\u201cEdit\u201d<\/strong>on the top right.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Go to\u00a0\u201cRingtone\u201d<\/strong>options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        2.Annotate Videos and Photos in iMessages<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

        iMessage is getting some really features in iOS 10, making it a competitor against\u00a0more popular apps such as WhatsApp and Snapchat, each of which have their own set of\u00a0tricks up their sleeves. We have secured\u00a0WhatsApp\u00a0and\u00a0Snapchat\u00a0tricks earlier.<\/p>\n

        .<\/p>\n

        Among the variety of changes coming to iMessage, one that definitely occurs is the ability to explain videos and photos. A feature that Snapchat has boasted of for a long time. Annotated videos and photos make it easier to draw attention to particular parts of a video\/photo.<\/p>\n

        To annotate photos in iMessage, follow the steps below:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Open\u00a0\u201cMessages\u201d<\/strong>on your iPhone.<\/li>\n
        • Open the conversation <\/strong>where you want to send an annotated Video\/Photo.<\/li>\n
        • Tap the\u00a0gray arrow<\/strong>on the left of the text box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Select the\u00a0Digital Touch Message <\/strong>button\u00a0(it\u2019s shaped like a heart).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • This will open a small screen where you can tap and send digital touch messages from. Tap on the\u00a0\u201cdisclosure\u201d<\/strong>arrow on the bottom right.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • Tap on the\u00a0video icon<\/strong>on the bottom left, to enable camera.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • Click the image <\/strong>that you want to annotate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  • You can now\u00a0annotate the image <\/strong>using any of the colors available in the palette on the top.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    • Simply\u00a0tap the blue arrow <\/strong>on the bottom right to send the annotated image to the recipient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      Cool Fact:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>The\u00a0annotation on the image animates when the receiver opens the message.<\/h4>\n

                      Annotating videos in iMessages is very similar, except that the annotation has to be done while you are recording the video.<\/p>\n

                      Below the steps to get an idea of how this works:<\/p>\n

                        \n
                      • Open\u00a0\u201cMessages\u201d<\/strong>on your iPhone.<\/li>\n
                      • Open the conversation <\/strong>where you want to send an annotated Video\/Photo.<\/li>\n
                      • Tap the gray arrow<\/strong>on the left of the text box.<\/li>\n
                      • Select the\u00a0Digital Touch Message <\/strong>button\u00a0(it\u2019s shaped like a heart).<\/li>\n
                      • This will open a small screen where you can tap and send digital touch messages from. Tap on the\u00a0\u201cdisclosure\u201d<\/strong>arrow on the bottom right.<\/li>\n
                      • Tap on the\u00a0video icon <\/strong>on the bottom left, to enable camera.<\/li>\n
                      • Tap the\u00a0record button <\/strong>to start recording a video.<\/li>\n
                      • You can\u00a0annotate the video as it records.<\/strong><\/li>\n
                      • If you can\u2019t attach a video clip here, and iMessages doesn\u2019t save the video to\u00a0Photos, so you can\u2019t really convert it to a GIF either, but here are two successive screenshots that show how the\u00a0video plays while the annotation animates on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        3.Add Stickers to Messages Sent\/Received Previously<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                        Another actually change to iMessage that many might not be known about, is that you can\u00a0overlay stickers to messages that\u00a0have already been sent. You can additionally overlay stickers onto received messages.<\/p>\n

                         <\/p>\n

                        While this may be viewed as an innovation feature, it beyond any doubt could be enjoyable. Warning:\u00a0in excessive amounts, this feature becomes\u00a0addictive enough that you will keep doing this on each message,\u00a0potentially irritating the recipient, while likewise throwing your productivity at work down a cliff.<\/p>\n

                        Follow the steps below, to try this feature out for yourself:<\/p>\n

                        • Open <\/strong>the\u00a0iMessages conversation<\/strong>\u00a0that you want to do this on.<\/li>\n
                        • Tap on the\u00a0gray arrow <\/strong>on the left of the text box.<\/li>\n
                        • Select the\u00a0\u201cApp Store\u201d<\/strong>icon.<\/li>\n
                        • If you don\u2019t already have a stickers pack downloaded on your iPhone, tap on the four ellipses on the bottom left, tap\u00a0on the plus icon labelled \u201cStore\u201d and download one of the sticker packs.<\/li>\n
                        • Tap and hold on a sticker <\/strong>and simply\u00a0drag and drop<\/strong>\u00a0it on the message that you want to overlay it on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          • That\u2019s it, the recipient will also see the change in their messages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            Bonus:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                            You can add as many stickers onto a single message as you need, until the space on the message bubble runs out<\/p>\n

                            4.Edit Numbers Before Dialing<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                            It is one of the most irritating\u00a0chances\u00a0of the phone app on the iPhone, was that\u00a0while dialing a number, if you made a mistake, you had to delete all the numbers that succeeded it, in order to get to, and replace it. iOS 10\u00a0finally\u00a0fixes this. You can now edit numbers in the dialer in the same way that you can edit text\u00a0in any text box.<\/p>\n

                            Simply\u00a0tap and hold on the\u00a0number<\/strong>, and you will get the familiar lens view, magnifying the text immediately under your finger.\u00a0Slide\u00a0your finger left or right<\/strong>\u00a0to adjust the cursor and edit the phone number.<\/p>\n

                            5.Color Filters in Accessibility<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                            The availability tab inside settings finally has Display Accommodations settings that can make it easier for color blind people to use their\u00a0iPhones. The color filters additionally have a greyscale setting, that may save some battery on your iPhone, if you can live with the tradeoff of\u00a0an absolutely black and white screen on your iPhone.<\/p>\n

                            6.Close all Tabs in Safari<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                            Closing tabs in Safari has always been a pain. Particularly in the event that you tend to open an extremely large number of tabs. Swiping them all out can get quickly repetitive and boring. However, iOS 10 finally implements\u00a0a strategy to close all Safari tabs in just two taps.<\/p>\n

                            • Inside Safari, tap and hold on the\u00a0\u201ctab switcher\u201d<\/strong>button.<\/li>\n
                            • The context menu that comes up, now has an option to \u201cClose all Tabs<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                              Note:\u00a0<\/strong>The option actually reads \u201cClose\u00a0<number of open tabs> Tabs\u201d, you have used \u201cClose all Tabs\u201d\u00a0for simplicity.<\/p>\n

                              7.Export Safari Pages to PDFs<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                              Safari\u00a0has a new feature that allows to quickly export\u00a0webpages opened in Safari to PDF files, that you can share using any valid sharing method.<\/p>\n

                              To do this, follow the steps outlined below:<\/p>\n

                              • Open the webpage<\/strong>in Safari.<\/li>\n
                              • Tap on the\u00a0Share<\/strong>button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
