Now AI powered virtual assistants such as Siri and Google are extremely useful. In any case, as a rule, they are conflicting with voice recognition, particularly if you talk with an accent. Hound is not as interactive as Siri, and generally not as witty either, but rather in practically every other useful way, Hound trumps Siri and Google Now.<\/p>\n

1.Availability<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Hound is available on both\u00a0iOS and Android<\/strong>, though only in the US. Since it\u2019s accessible on both the platforms, users can easily switch platforms and get the Hound assistant on their devices.<\/p>\n

When you have installed Hound, you can release it, and it approaches you for a couple of permissions. Allow or deny according to your needs, but remember, if you deny permissions like \u201cLocation\u201d, Hound will not be able to check the weather for you, or perform other location dependent tasks.<\/p>\n

2.Voice Recognition<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Make sure this varies from person to person, but, at least for me, Hound\u2019s\u00a0voice recognition appears to work way better<\/strong>\u00a0than Siri or Google Now\u2019s. If you to rank them, just say\u00a0Hound > Siri > Google Now<\/strong>. Even though, Siri recognizes my speech faster than Google Now does, Hound beats them both.<\/p>\n

3.Remembering Context<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Google Now is rather lacking when it comes to recalling context between multiple queries. Siri is a little better, at least at some commands. But, Hound is\u00a0awesome at remembering context<\/strong>. In fact, when you first release Hound, the tutorial shows off this capability of the assistant.<\/p>\n

          As you can see in the screenshots,\u00a0Hound perfectly understands context<\/strong> so does Siri, at least for weather. But, Siri\u2019s responses are usually\u00a0less than satisfactory. Google Now, on the other hand, completely lost context on the \u201ctwo months later\u201d query, but, to its credit, caught up with the context again on the fourth query.<\/p>\n

          Note:\u00a0<\/strong>you didn\u2019t actually phrase the query to Google Now as \u201cweather tomorrow in Rome\u201d. Google Now automatically changes the query to the context it understood the query in.<\/p>\n

          4.Complex Queries<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

          Hound handles complex queries truly well. Hound, Siri, and Google Now a couple of complex questions on the lines of weather and hotel bookings,\u00a0so we should see\u00a0exactly how advanced Hound is, as compared to Siri and Google Now.<\/p>\n

                5.Quirks, Wit and Personality<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                Possibly the only category\u00a0where Siri beats Hound \u201cQuirks, Wit and Personality\u201d while not exactly\u00a0important\u00a0in a virtual, AI assistant, these things do\u00a0add an almost human touch<\/strong>\u00a0to them. You asked Siri, Google Now and Hound to do things like sing songs, and tell jokes, and\u2026 well.<\/p>\n
