Google Allo has\u00a0arrived for Android smartphones and iPhone. The smart messaging app is Google\u2019s another effort to\u00a0make an impact in the world of\u00a0instant messengers. The smart messaging app comes with the brand-new Google Assistant, which should ensure that you never need to leave the messaging app to search for places, news, weather or any other queries. Likewise, there\u2019s the cool smart reply, which makes the app significantly more fun.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve installed Google Allo from the\u00a0Play Store<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0or the\u00a0App Store<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, the first thing that Allo will ask you, is permissions. At that point, you should register your mobile phone number, just like other messaging apps.<\/p>\n

Once done, the app will ask you to put up a profile picture. You can take a picture or you can choice one from the Gallery. Then, enter your name and you are good to go. You will be received by the brand-new Google Assistant.<\/p>\n

    Allo needs end-to-end encryption like WhatsApp, it does bring an incognito chat feature,\u00a0similar to Telegram\u2019s Secret Chats<\/strong>\u00a0feature. You can begin an Incognito chat by tapping the\u00a0new message floating icon<\/strong>\u00a0and then, tapping on \u201cStart incognito chat<\/strong>\u201c. You can then select a contact and the incognito chat will be started.<\/p>\n

    In incognito chat, the\u00a0messages are end-to-end encrypted<\/strong>\u00a0and there are additional privacy features like\u00a0discreet notifications<\/strong>. Likewise, you can set an\u00a0expiration otherwise known as self-destruct timer<\/strong>\u00a0on messages. You can set the timer by tapping on the top right timer icon and selecting the time.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0messaging app comes with three sticker packs installed but you can always download more.<\/p>\n

        Allo gives you a chance to shout or whisper a message, which is nothing but the ability to\u00a0increase or decrease the font size of text before you send it. It\u2019s easy to use. simply type in a text and\u00a0press hold the send button<\/strong>, which will\u00a0begin a slider which you can use to increase or decrease text\u2019s\u00a0font size. This should come in accessible when you\u00a0need to show how excited you are or when you are uninterested.<\/p>\n

You can directly talk to the assistant\u00a0through its\u00a0separate chat thread<\/strong>\u00a0or you can trigger it any chat or group chat\u00a0by typing @google<\/strong>\u00a0and typing in your query.<\/p>\n

            It\u2019s powered by Google Search, so you can get different results like\u00a0weather info, flight info, news, nearby places, navigate, play games, translate languages<\/strong>\u00a0and much more. You can even use it to\u00a0set an alarm or a reminder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

            Google Assistant\u00a0features a personality, like Siri and Cortana<\/strong>, so you can talk to it, ask it to sing a song, tell a joke and more.
