The launcher brings a lots of customization options while ensuring it does not slow down your device. If you are somebody who does uses Nova Launcher, you should be very well aware of all the cool features like the ability to change icon packs, transition effects, app drawer style, dock style etc.<\/p>\n

1.Check out the Labs Menu<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Nova Launcher features a set of features and debugging options in the hidden \u201cLabs\u201d<\/strong> menu. To access the Labs menu, first you will have to enable it by\u00a0press holding the volume down button\u00a0<\/strong>for a few seconds in the\u00a0Nova Settings page<\/strong>. Once done, you will find a \u201cLabs\u201d<\/strong> option in the Nova Settings page. First, you\u2019ll have to\u00a0enable the \u201cTab bar\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Nova Settings->App & widget drawers<\/strong>. Once done, you can also change the\u00a0tab style, menu action icons and isolate tabs. Then, scroll down below and tap on \u201cDrawer groups<\/strong>\u201c. Here, you can\u00a0add different tabs<\/strong>\u00a0by tapping the plus icon on the top right. You can also change the order in which they are available in the app drawer.<\/p>\n

8.Prevent Changes to the Home Screen<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Nova Launcher includes an option that\u00a0prevents anyone from making any changes to the home screen.<\/p>\n

To enable it, you can go to\u00a0Nova Settings->Desktop<\/strong>\u00a0and scroll down to the end and tap on \u201cAdvanced<\/strong>\u201c. Then, enable the \u201cLock desktop<\/strong>\u201d option. This option locks up the home screen and you cannot move any icons or even change the wallpaper. In fact, when you long press on the home screen, the launcher shows you that it\u2019s locked\u00a0along with an option to unlock it.<\/p>\n

If you are somebody who likes a minimal style for\u00a0your Android home screen, the white or colorful background that pops up when you open a\u00a0folder doesn\u2019t look good to you. then, you can make the folder background transparent with Nova Launcher. Just go to\u00a0Nova Settings->Folders<\/strong>\u00a0and tap on \u201cBackground<\/strong>\u201c. Then, just slide the\u00a0Transparency bar to 100%<\/strong>\u00a0and choice\u00a0any color circle you like. You will then see that when you open up a folder on the home screen, the background is transparent.<\/p>\n
