The smartphone industry is advancing very fast and we are used to seeing revolutionary technology advancements every year. Last year, despite the pandemic, we\u2019ve seen some major releases like the iPhone 12, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, and many more.<\/p>\n
This year was off to a good start as far as smartphones go, as we\u2019ve already seen tech to be excited about like the Samsung Galaxy S2 collection followed by the Plus and Ultra. We\u2019ve also witnessed the release of the OnePlus 9 and the impressive Xiaomi Mi 11.<\/p>\n
All of these impressive smartphones were released only in the first three months, so what we have in line for the rest of the year?<\/p>\n

iPhone 13<\/strong><\/p>\n The 13th<\/sup> collection of Apple\u2019s iPhone is easily the most anticipated upcoming smartphone of this year, but there is a long wait for them. Usually, Apple releases its new smartphone collection sometime in September or October.<\/p>\n We expect to see some big upgrades with their new iPhone 13 models such as high refresh rate screens, in-screen fingerprint scanners, smaller notch, and possibly a 1TB of internal storage.<\/p>\n There are also rumors about the periscope camera added to the new model, that will increase the optical zoom range of the camera.<\/p>\n Since the potential release date is distanced, anything can be changed and we are not confident of these features yet.<\/p>\n Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3<\/strong><\/p>\n After a bumpy start<\/a> with their first Fold model, it seems like Samsung figured things out and made some drastic changes to their last year\u2019s Fold 2 model. This year we expect to see their 3rd<\/sup> generation of the Folding phone and it isn\u2019t likely to be a mainstream model.<\/p>\n It is expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be their best phone yet. Beyond having a big screen that is foldable, there are rumors that the phone will support Samsung\u2019s S Pen stylus, will have an in-screen camera, and possibly an RGB light strip on its hinge.<\/p>\n The Galaxy Fold 3 is expected around the same time as the iPhone 13, which means we have a long way to go until we will see some more official information.<\/p>\n Huawei P50<\/strong><\/p>\n Judging from the past, we can be sure that the new P50 is something to be excited about. We\u2019ve seen some amazing phones in Huawei\u2019s flagship P range, which typically have the best cameras in the industry, combined with amazing hardware.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, the Huawei P50 will have a big downside of unable to offer Google\u2019s apps or access to the Google Play Store due to the Huawei ban in the United States. This will significantly hamper the software side of things.<\/p>\n However, the P50 is still something to be excited about. We don\u2019t have a lot of information about its specs, but it is very likely that we will see the high-end Kirin 9000 chipset that is found in the Huawei Mate 40, and a Huawei P50 Pro model with a 6.6 curved screen.<\/p>\n Obviously, the camera will be the start of the show and according to some leaks, we will see some very big lenses and a 50MP, f\/1.9, (wide) camera with 10x optical zoom. The front camera will be amazing too, featuring 32MP + 8MP for impressive selfies.<\/p>\n The phone will release on the 26th<\/sup> of March.<\/p>\n Final Words<\/strong><\/p>\n These are some of the most anticipated phones we can expect in 2021. There are many other phones that we still don\u2019t have a lot of information about, but we can expect some big things this year.<\/p>\n The pandemic situation last year slowed down the production<\/a> of new smartphones, and this year we expect to see the companies working at full steam.<\/p>\n
