Dear Mr. Smith,
I am hereby through an advertisement for the post of legal assistant though I got interested in this position i have submitted my application for this post. For the past three years, I have been working as a legal assistant at the District Attorney’s office but would like to move into the private world. I have a certificate in legal assisting and have an idea how a firm works.
My current work involves a lot of things, whereas including answering the phones calls, fill up documents with the court for attorneys, preparing discovery for defense attorneys to pick up, obtaining reports from the police department and interacting with people as they come into the office. I know the value of good customer service and try to treat everyone with courtesy. I understand basic emotions that needed to be filed up with and how to file with the courts.
when I was at work I used to see your office staff picking up discovery at the District Attorney’s office often and by there I have gone to know several of them. I get along well with others and believe I would fit for the profession. With my experience, I would hit the ground running.
