Advantages of Latex:
- It is easy for anyone to edit your file because it’s just a text.
- Produces aesthetically beautiful documents.
- Easy to use math, symbols, etc.
- Once we learned it is much faster and more intuitive.
- It is platform independent.
- Complex structure such as footnotes, references, table of contents, and bibliographies can be easily generated.
Disadvantages:
- Fairly steep learning curve.
- Latex will have difficulty reviewing your manuscripts.
- Layout changes are difficult.
- Many features require libraries.
- Customizing is a tedious process.
