Exact information for OnePlus 3 users, developers start working on CyanogenMod 14 for OnePlus 3. Initially the working build is available but it contains some bugs. Recently Google launched the official Android 7.0 Nougat for Nexus Devices. Already accessible devices like Android 7.0 AOSP ROM for OnePlus One and Nexus 5 and now download the AOSP 7.0 Nougat CM14 ROM for OnePlus 3. The ROM is posted on Chinese forum but XDA Senior Member published the similar build of Unofficial CM14 for OnePlus 3 on XDA. To use this ROM, first we need to be rooted, and TWRP installed on your device.

The CM14 ROM is a primary nougat alpha build for OnePlus 3 and lost several features, and it is not suitable for daily use. This initial build consists of bugs but that’s upgraded with time. The CM14 Android Nougat for OnePlus 3 brings some fabulous features.

Note:

  • CM14 ROM is only works on OnePlus 3 so don’t try this on any other device.
  • The ROM is a primary nougat alpha build and includes some bugs.
  • It will format your data, so it is advisable to take a complete backup of your phone and then proceed.
  • Make sure that your phone has at least 50-60% charged to prevent the accidental shutdown in-between the process.

How to Install CM14 on OnePlus 3

Download and install a custom recovery. If you already had a custom recovery installed on your device then skip this step.

Download the CyanogenMod 14 ROM for OnePlus 3 and Gapps and save it on your device.

Now Boot your device into Recovery mode by press and hold “Volume Down+Power Button”

Now you will enter into recovery mode. Now in TWRP, create a Nandroid backup (Recommended) of your device for safer side.

Now do a Factory Reset by Goto Wipe>Advanced Wipe>Select Wipe cache, Dalvik cache, System, and data and swipe to confirm it.

Now, Go to Install and locate the ROM zip file & swipe to Install the ROM file. After the process completes, Flash the GApps zip file.

Now wipe cache & Dalvik cache again and Reboot your device.

The CyanogenMod 14 ROM for OnePlus 3 has been installed successfully.
